Job Description
Experienced Structural Engineer Hill-Engineers, Architects, Planners, Inc. has an opening for a full-time experienced structural engineer (PE) to work at their Dalton, MA office. Hill is a 75-year-old firm with an average of 40 employees that performs design work throughout western New England and New York. We service industrial, health care, educational, commercial, residential and government clientele on new and existing facilities. We are a small company with numerous long-term employees allowing us to maintain a family atmosphere. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct structural evaluations of existing buildings Conduct fieldwork, establish existing conditions, perform calculations, and produce designs Work on structural projects to create construction documents including drawings and specifications Work collaboratively with other in-house structural engineers Work with in house and outside architects and engineers Work with draftspersons and designers to get designs on paper Work on projects that are strictly structural in nature as well as multidiscipline projects Construction administration activities such as site visits, submittal review, RFIs, etc. Mentor young structural engineers (EITs) Stamp drawings for your work and that of others that you direct Qualifications: Licensed professional engineer in civil or structural 5+ years of applicable experience BS in structural or civil engineering (with a structural concentration) from an accredited school required Knowledge of structural design software preferred (RISA, working knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit a plus) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task in a sometimes-fast paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word Authorized to work in the United States Essential Attributes: Gets along well with others Detail oriented, self-directed, responsible Able to work independently without guidance or as a part of an engineering/architectural team Pay: $80,074.32 - $130,000.00 per year Benefits Relocation assistance Work Location: In person
