Structural Steel Detailer

Job Description Job Description We are looking for a Structural Steel Detailer/Drafter Job Summary: As a Steel Detailer you will be responsible for preparing drawings and ensuring that format guidelines are met. This position requires strong attention to detail, planning, and advanced mathematics. Requirements Duties/Responsibilities Utilize established drafting standards, file management & techniques to prepare drawings - Meet all deadlines of project schedule requirements - Review self-performed work for accuracy and formatting guidelines - Design calculations, and engineering design will be used to create submittal drawings based on an assigned contract, and any submitted Architectural plans - Check final submittal drawings on-screen to verify completeness, clarity, and accuracy - Any other duties assigned by management Required Skills/Abilities: Minimum 1 year experience using AutoCAD or Bricscad, Microsoft Office & Adobe Reader - Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Education and Experience: Metal Building Software (MBS) experience a plus - Tekla software experience a plus - Minimum 1 year experience in the Metal Building industry is preferred
