Structured Cabling Leader - Hyperscale Location: Remote, Nationwide Travel: Approximately 50% A high-growth infrastructure organization is hiring a field-driven leader to help deliver large-scale hyperscale deployments across the U.S. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving build environments, knows how to lead structured cabling execution with confidence, and takes pride in turning technical plans into clean, deployment-ready sites. You will play a visible role in bringing critical infrastructure online, partnering across contractors, operations, and engineering teams to ensure every installation meets quality, schedule, and performance expectations. This Role Offers Competitive base salary plus equity opportunity Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Retirement benefits and paid time off aligned to local norms High-impact work supporting advanced compute and data center deployment programs Strong ownership in a lean, execution-focused environment What You Will Do Lead field execution for structured cabling and physical infrastructure activities across hyperscale and high-density deployment sites Coordinate installers, access schedules, material staging, logistics flow, and milestone readiness to keep projects advancing on time Oversee installation quality for racks, cabinets, pathways, patching, labeling, and cable management against approved build documentation Review fiber and copper infrastructure testing results, identify deficiencies, and help drive issue resolution through final turnover Interpret drawings, rack elevations, pathway layouts, and related technical documents to confirm constructability and field accuracy Partner with engineering, site operations, and deployment stakeholders to resolve installation challenges and maintain project momentum Generate field reports, punch lists, closeout packages, and as-built documentation that support handoff into operations Promote best practices in structured cabling, physical layer quality, and deployment consistency across multiple active sites What They Are Looking For Five or more years of hands-on experience in data center deployment, mission-critical infrastructure, or similar technical build environments Strong subject matter expertise in structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, and physical layer quality assurance and quality control Experience leading contractors or trade partners in the field and holding installation work to high technical standards Ability to read and apply technical drawings, schematics, rack elevations, and deployment documentation in a live build setting Proven skill in fiber and copper validation, defect identification, and installation closeout processes Comfort with 50 percent travel nationwide, with heavier site presence during major deployment and turn-up periods Clear communication, practical decision-making, and a strong sense of accountability in fast-changing environments Preferred Background Experience in hyperscale, colocation, AI infrastructure, HPC, or other large-scale compute environments BICSI or related low-voltage, cabling, or infrastructure certifications Background supporting turnover, operational readiness, and documentation for new infrastructure deployments About Blue Signal: Blue Signal is an award-winning, executive search firm specializing in various specialties.
