POSITION SUMMARY The Student Pastor is responsible for leading and discipling students in grades 6–12 by creating a Christ-centered environment where students can grow in their faith, build authentic relationships, and become disciples of Christ. This role focuses on reaching and mentoring the next generation through worship, teaching, fellowship, outreach, and personal discipleship. The Student Pastor will recruit, develop, and lead volunteers while partnering with parents and church leadership to shepherd students effectively. Working under the supervision of the Senior Pastor, this individual will serve as a spiritual leader, communicator, mentor, and team builder who is passionate about helping students follow Jesus and equipping others to do the same. QUALIFICATIONS A Servant’s heart, Christlike attitude and work ethic to match. A life and ministry that meets the standards of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. A clear vision for the role of the Student Ministry in the local church. Vibrant personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Evidence of a growing walk with Christ. A Calling and heart for ministry to students and their families. Supportive of the Church’s overall ministries, mission, and pastoral leadership. Ordained preferred or seeking Ordination. Completed Bachelor’s degree related to Student Ministry and/or Religion. REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES An ability and desire to rightly divide the Word of God through Biblical teaching. Lead in regular planning, scheduling, and implementing of the Unity Student Ministry. Manage the Student Ministry annual budget. Demonstrate transformative teaching of Biblical theology to students through Sunday morning Discipleship Groups, Sunday Night Student Services and Vacation Bible School (7th – 12th grade). To cultivate Christian Service through Student Ministry & Missions Teams / Activities. Lead through engaging local secondary campus outreach. Implement Evangelization & Discipleship of our students, equipping them for their ministry. Participate in overall duties as part of the church leadership team including weekly staff meetings and monthly council meetings. Weekly responsibilities as needed in other areas as directed by the Senior Pastor.
