Able to work up to 19 hours per week during the academic year Qualifications Job Summary The School-to-Work Applied Mechanics Student supports engineering, testing, and technical teams by assisting with mechanical testing, data collection, equipment setup, and basic analysis. This role is designed for high school, vocational, or early college students to gain hands-on experience while building foundational skills in applied mechanics, engineering practices, and workplace professionalism. Key Responsibilities Assist with mechanical testing activities, including setup, execution, and teardown of test rigs and fixtures. Support engineers and technicians with data collection, measurements, and documentation. Perform basic calculations and observations related to force, motion, vibration, stress, and mechanical performance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab and test environment Assist with inspection, calibration, and care of tool
