CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT JOB DESCRIPTION CLASSIFICATION: SUPPORT STAFF JOB TITLE:STUDENT WORKER - - NOONTIME AIDE SALARY: $15.15/hour Job Goal: Supervise and ensure the safety and appropriate conduct of students during activities in areas such as the playground, cafeteria, and other school facilities. Minimum Qualifications: Satisfactory school conduct background check Provide two letters of recommendation from current CUSD teachers Must adhere to CUSD student dress code standards Ability to work with children at different age levels Some experience in supervising or working with children Must display the ability to communicate effectively with staff, co-workers, and students The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Core Job Functions: Maintain surveillance of the assigned area to assure safe and responsible conduct Foster and maintain effective relationships with students Monitor the activities of students at play or in the cafeteria Counsel and intervene to prevent unacceptable behavior Refer disciplinary cases to the appropriate authority Report unauthorized persons on school premises Notify the school health office in case of an accident Perform all duties safely and prudently as directed Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position Core Values: Excellence in all we do.
