EdAdvance is one of Connecticut's six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs). EdAdvance is also a partner in the RESC Alliance and works collaboratively with the other RESC groups to support state-wide initiatives. Substitute Teacher – Before & After School Extended Services (BASES) Status: Part-Time, As-needed Hourly Rate: $16.94 Location: Newtown, New Fairfield, CT This is an as-needed substitute position for our Before and After School Program, which operates Monday–Friday in public school buildings while school is in session. Program hours generally run 6:45–9:00 a.m. and 3:00–6:00 p.m. Hours are scheduled based on program needs and employee availability and may vary week to week. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours; however, substitutes may have the opportunity to work up to 15 hours per week. Responsibilities: Assist site staff with program operations; supervise school-age children; support age-appropriate activities; assist with site setup/cleanup; and follow program safety and supervision guidelines. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience with school-age children preferred; knowledge of child development; strong communication and teamwork skills.
