Summer Behavioral Support & Childcare Provider Needed for 8-Year-Old Boy Seeking a compassionate, reliable, and emotionally grounded individual to provide structured summer support for an intelligent and energetic 8-year-old boy with ADHD. This role is ideal for someone with experience in behavioral health, child development, education, psychology, social work, behavioral intervention, or related fields. The ideal candidate is patient, calm under pressure, able to hold consistent boundaries, and capable of building a warm, supportive connection while maintaining structure and emotional safety. Responsibilities include: Maintaining a consistent and supportive summer routine Assisting with reading and math tutoring Planning engaging activities and community outings Supporting emotional regulation and behavioral stability Encouraging healthy social skills and independence Providing supervision during daily activities Maintaining a calm, regulated presence during moments of frustration or behavioral escalation Using positive reinforcement, consistency, and developmentally appropriate expectations Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with elementary-age children Knowledge of ADHD and child development Background in behavioral health, psychology, education, social work, ABA, therapy support, or related field Experience supporting children with emotional or behavioral challenges Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster a secure, caring attachment while maintaining healthy boundaries Reliable transportation and clean driving record preferred Ideal Personality Traits: Warm and patient Emotionally steady Playful and engaging Dependable and consistent Observant and proactive Comfortable redirecting behavior calmly and respectfully Part-time/full-time summer hours available depending on fit and availability.
