Job Description
Spend your summer living on campus, building real leadership experience, and mentoring high school students exploring careers in medicine. Outset is hiring current college students or recent grads to join our residential team at Outset, hosted at Vanderbilt University for Summer 2026. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role where you’ll work closely with high school students, support their day-to-day experience, and help create a structured, engaging, and supportive environment. What You’ll Do You’ll serve as a mentor, leader, and primary support system for a group of high school students living on campus. Day-to-day, that looks like: Supervising students throughout campus life (dorms, dining, activities, transitions) Supporting student well-being, resolving minor issues, and escalating when needed Leading games, activities, and small group engagement Helping run daily operations, check-in/check-out, and off-campus activities Communicating consistently with your team to keep everything running smoothly This is a position where you’ll be active, engaged, and on your feet throughout the day. Schedule & Time Off Typical day: ~7:30 AM – 11:30 PM Daily time off: ~1.5–2 hours Weekly time off: Friday evening (~6 PM) to Sunday midday (~12:30 PM), ~40+ consecutive hours This is an intensive, immersive role , but also one where you’ll build strong relationships and be part of a tight-knit team.
