Summer Camp Kitchen Assistant

Camp Deerpark is a ministry of the New York City Mennonite Churches – a community of Christ where children, youth, and families from all cultures are welcomed to fellowship together in the serenity of God’s creation. Open position: Summer Camp Kitchen Assistant (seasonal) July- August (during the week) Responsibilities Must be able to work with campers (children and teenagers). Being approachable and treating all campers fairly and equally Must be able to work in the kitchen and present a professional appearance at all times. Displaying a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments Adhering to Health Department standards of personal hygiene. Maintaining proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while preparing, serving, and cleaning. -Setting tables neatly, and in a timely fashion, and keeping counters clean, organized, and stocked. Using the dishwasher to clean dishes and pans. Removing trash, recyclables, and compost to specified areas. -Sweeping and mopping floors.
