Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Summer Intern - Dental/Orthodontic Sterilization Technician! This paid internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced dental clinic environment, focusing on sterilization and infection control protocols essential to maintaining a safe and efficient practice. You will support the dental team by ensuring all instruments and materials are properly sterilized, organized, and ready for patient care. This role is ideal for motivated students or individuals interested in pursuing a career in dentistry, orthodontics, or healthcare administration. FULL TIME SUMMER POSITION: WE NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN COMMIT TO TWO SATURDAYS A MONTH 8AM - 2PM, plus 3-4 days a week (monday-friday 9AM - 6PM) Duties Helping with patient flow - cleaning dental chairs and surfaces between patients. Seating patients and alerting assistants and doctors when patients are ready. Assist with the sterilization of dental and orthodontic instruments using proper aseptic techniques and sterilization equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterilization areas in compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Prepare and organize dental supplies, ensuring all materials meet infection control standards. Support the dental team by helping with charting/documentation. Helping to load photos and scans into patient charts.
