About Soundvsystem We're an independently owned and operated blog and label doing real work. We cover a diverse range of independent music, from dream pop to post-punk and indietronica. Our mission is to introduce new sounds to an audience with an appetite for discovery. About the Role This is a part-time, remote Summer Intern role. As we focus on upcoming releases on the label side, we are looking for an intern to help with the blog. The intern will assist with curating content, researching new music, drafting articles, and creating social media content. They will also support marketing efforts, engage with the indie music community, and participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative ways to promote artists and music content. Collaboration with the editorial team and attendance at music events may also be required. ***FOR SCHOOL CREDIT ONLY - This in unpaid opportunity, so you must be enrolled in a formal academic program, to receive credit. Qualifications Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities Research and content curation skills, including familiarity with the indie music scene Experience with social media management and digital marketing Passion for music, creativity, and storytelling Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask Proficiency in tools and software such as Microsoft Office, content management systems, and basic graphic design platforms is a plus Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Journalism, Music, or a related field
