Through high-energy, team-based math experiences designed to build confidence, spark curiosity, and prove that math can be exciting, meaningful, and for everyone. The Summer Skoolturf Teacher will deliver engaging, culturally responsive math instruction to rising 7th and/or 8th grade students. This role begins with a comprehensive training period designed to align instructors with our pedagogical framework before students arrive and continues through the full duration of the summer program. We are looking for educators who are passionate about student confidence, math identity, and closing foundational gaps in a meaningful way. Responsibilities: Participate in all designated professional development sessions hosted by Equation 2 Success Develop a comprehensive understanding of E2S’s pedagogical framework, instructional practices, and program goals Integrate E2S’s instructional approach with your own educational background, experiences, and teaching styles Deliver Skoolturf lessons and facilitate program activities for rising 7th and/or 8th grade students with fidelity and professionalism Create engaging, meaningful learning experiences that foster student curiosity and a genuine passion for mathematics Facilitate activities that bridge foundational math gaps and build strong mathematical identities in students Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment throughout the summer program Collaborate with the E2S team to continuously improve the student learning experience throughout the program Communicate openly with program leadership regarding student progress, challenges, and classroom needs Qualifications Background in mathematics education or a related field (Bachelor’s Degree Required) Valid teaching credential, relevant teaching experience, or pursuing a teaching credential Genuine passion for student confidence, math identity and closing foundational learning gaps Ability to deliver structured lessons with consistency while bringing energy and creativity to facilitation Collaborative Mindset with willingness to learn, grow, and receive feedback Commitment to the full duration of the summer program Job Type: Part-Time(Temporary) Location: Pasadena, CA 91103 Stipend: $2,650 Training(3): May/June 2026 (TBD) June 11, 2026, 3 hrs (Virtual) June 12, 2026, 3 hrs (In-Person, Location TBD) Program Dates : June 15 - July 16 Shift Schedule: 11:30 AM - 3 PM To apply, please email your resume or CV with “Skillz Teacher” in the subject line to: learn@equation2success.com Pay: $2,650.00 per month Application Question(s) What motivates you to work with students who may be struggling or below grade level in math?
