The Baum School of Art seeks several full-time, temporary summer assistants for children's art camps during the 2026 summer session.The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in visual art, art education, and love working with kids of all ages and abilities.Additionally, assistants will be punctual, organized, personable, and have excellent customer service and communication skills.Duties will include teaching assistance, supervision of children in our busy camp program, and various administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.Hours will be scheduled between 8:30am--5:30pm, Monday--Friday, from late May/June to mid-August.Approximately 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.Responsibilities and Duties Summer teaching assistants will be responsible for assisting the program coordinator and faculty members to ensure a smoothly running, fun, and memorable summer camp for students ages 5-17.Duties will include assisting students and faculty with camp activities, ensuring safety for all students, supervising lunch, interacting with parents, classroom and supply organization, and assisting the administrative staff with various duties as assigned.Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the arts, art education, and working with youth.Some experience in art, childcare, and administrative or customer service experience is required.Must be 18 years of age or older and complete federal and state criminal and child abuse clearances.Must be able to see, hear, speak, read, and write the English language.Must be able to move, walk, use stairs, bend, sit, stand, and lift up to 25lbs.Job Types:Full-time, Temporary Pay:$15.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Work Location:In person.
