Responsibilities Provide attentive care to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and potty training with patience and professionalism Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and any concerns Enforce classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and respectful interactions among children Administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies following established safety protocols Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive atmosphere that respects diverse needs, including those of children with disabilities or special needs Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members professionally Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting infants or toddlers and standing for extended periods Passion for caregiving, teaching, and supporting the growth of young learners Join us at Sunshine Fitsum Daycare where every day is an opportunity to inspire curiosity, foster independence, and build joyful learning experiences!
