Job Description - Supervised Visitation Center Monitor POSITION CLASSIFICATION:18-24 Hours a Week; variable shifts including evenings and weekends.SALARY CLASSIFICATION:Non-Exempt SUPERVISOR:Visitation Center Manager POSITION PRIMARY PURPOSE:Supervise client visitations and exchanges and complete documentation reports for all visitation and exchange services.Qualifications:Bachelor Degree in Human Service related field or equivalent work experience.Ability to relate to families and acceptance of the population served.Computer skills are necessary.Must successfully complete a criminal history background check.Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to complete upon hire.Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of child development and/or care giving role to children KP3 Working knowledge of trauma and its effect on child development Working knowledge of the dynamics and laws of separation, divorce and child welfare Working knowledge of direct service programming to victims of domestic and sexual violence Ability to work independently Skilled in managing crisis situations, and communication of difficult topics Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Responsibilities:A.Ensures that quality parenting time services are provided to clients.Tasks:1) Supervise visits and exchanges.2) Maintain confidentiality of all clients as outlined in our policies and procedures.3) Complete an accurate report of all visitation documentation with an understanding of how documentation affects all involved parties.4) Follow mandated reporter requirements.5) Assure security of visitation site during hours of operation, including:door checks at beginning and end of each shift, set up and maintain proper working order of security equipment, and consistently following all safety protocols.6) Intervene as necessary during visits when a child is in distress or policy is violated.7) Provide referrals for parents or children to other supportive services as appropriate.8) Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays from time to time.9) Maintain Center building security and cleanliness.10) Understand and abide by all applicable policies and procedures of the Stearns Administrative Building.11) Maintain a professional neutrality while prioritizing the safety of the children and adult victims of abuse.12) Arrive to work promptly and regularly 13) Perform other duties and assumes additional responsibilities as directed.B.Will be an active participant of the Anna Marie's Alliance Team.Tasks:1) Attend all required trainings.2) Attend and participate in staff meetings and case consultation meetings.3) Seek out and attend trainings that maintain skills and promote methods of providing quality.services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and families in need.4) Follow all policies and procedures of Anna Marie's Alliance and the Supervised Visitation Center.5) Provide support in accomplishing program goals.6) Assist with delivery of community education presentations.7) Participate in Visitation Center project partner meetings as needed.8) Work with Visitation Center Manager to complete funding applications and reports.9) Positively interact with individuals, organizations, and system partners to further develop cooperative and collaborative efforts in responding to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and families in need.10) Represent programs, employees, and administrative direction positively.11) Actively seek out supervisor when assistance is needed.12) Communicate with supervisor, other employees, and clientele to pro-actively solve conflict, keep informed, and foster team spirit.13) When exercising duties, consciously consider the welfare of clientele and program.14) Take responsibility for assigned duties and show initiative in seeking additional duties.15) Complete other duties as assigned by Manager.Required Competencies Leadership Exhibits confidence in self and others, and inspires trust and respect Effectively influence actions and opinions of others Accepts feedback from others Displays passion and optimism Knowledge Understands how to utilize Trauma Informed Care when working with victims Understands the unique needs of families affected by domestic violence Understands the impact domestic violence has on child development Understands the role of Supervised visitation in preventing further harm to victims of domestic abuse and their children Responds to perpetrator, victims, and their children in crisis with appropriate interpersonal communication and intervention skills Accountability Be on time for scheduled shifts Ability to work independently, and with a team, with minimal supervision Asks for clarification or assistance as needed Submits complete documentations and reports on time Communication Demonstrates a willingness to share ideas and perspectives and encourages other to do the same Listens effectively - asks clarifying questi
