Job Summary ONEOK is seeking a highly motivated Gas Plant Accounting Supervisor to join our team during a transformative time. In this role, you will oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities related to Natural Gas Gathering and Processing settlement contracts, review contracts within the plant settlement system, support monthly plant closing activities, prepare and review variance explanations, and contribute to various ad hoc projects and analyses. Key responsibilities include supervising the plant settlement cycle, reviewing theoreticals and imbalance analyses, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls, supporting contract interpretation for complex commercial arrangements (e.g., percent‑of‑proceeds, fee‑based, and TIK agreements), and driving continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems. The Plant Accounting Supervisor also plays a key role in cross‑functional reviews of plant performance and variance explanations, preparing internal management reporting, and supporting both external and customer audits. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, deep knowledge of midstream and plant accounting concepts, the ability to interpret and apply contract terms to financial outcomes, and the leadership capability to coach and develop a high‑performing team. Proficiency with Waterfield and/or TIPS is required. Job Profile Summary Supervises general accounting functions. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Supervise, coordinate, and review the daily work activities of accounting staff engaged in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and related reports. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley, and company policies. Support the planning, organization, and execution of accounting processes, including month-end and year-end close activities. Assist in monitoring and maintaining accounting and financial reporting systems; recommend and support process improvements and system enhancements. Interpret and apply accounting standards, policies, and procedures; provide guidance to accounting staff and internal stakeholders. Compile, analyze, and interpret financial information for management decision-making. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide requested documentation and explanations. Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives, as assigned. Train, coach, and mentor accounting staff; assist with performance feedback and skill development. Education Bachelor's Degree in accounting or other related field.
