Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott AFB Community Center.. This is a Regular Full-Time Position, 35-40 hours per week. Duties Responsible for the management of all aspects of the Community Center operation. Plans, manages, and executes a variety of innovative and needs-based quality of life programs and services IAW DAFI requirements. Manages program scheduling and coordinates with other activities and related agencies to avoid conflicts. Evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing programs and services from the standpoint of participation, resources, and program after-action evaluations. Collaborates with Marketing in developing effective strategies to promote programs and services and maximize participation through FSS web pages, social media platforms, and other methods. Works closely with the Operations Manager (Zeppelin's Food and Beverage) operations pertaining to catering and lounge services that are provided within the facility. Formulates, justifies, and executes both the appropriated funds (APF) and non-appropriated funds (NAF) budgets. Implements accounting practices and internal control procedures for receiving, safeguarding, and disbursing all funds and assets. Maintains an accurate account of daily sales revenue, operational funds, fixed assets, and property. Procures and/or initiates procurement documents for supplies and equipment. Reviews and evaluates purchases of supplies and equipment using all required AF systems to ensure compliance with proper purchase, inventory, and accounting processes. Responsible for managing maintenance/repair of facilities and equipment. Prepares and submits work order requests as required. Supervises personnel assigned to Community Center. Assigns, directs and reviews the work of subordinate employees; plans and carries out the training and development of employees; evaluates employee work performance; recommends selections, status changes and disciplinary actions; plans schedules, and coordinates work operations, explains management policies. Identifies and resolves employee performance and discipline concerns. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent must pass a pre-employment drug test and is subject to random drug testing. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive. If selected for this position, incumbent will be required to provide a copy of their Official Driving Record.
