About the Role Under the direction of the General Manager, the individual in this position is responsible for materials management, including the planning, procurement, processing, inventory and distribution of all production materials, MRO items, consumables, and capital equipment. Other activities include the management of all inbound/outbound logistics, Customs and Duty, vendor development and performance management, warehouse management, managing the distribution of material throughout the factory. Also, serves as a member of the Supply Chain Strategic Procurement Team. Responsibilities Leadership Create, implement and maintain development plans for all employees within the Braun Supply Chain (BSC) team. Develops and leads teamwork within the team utilizing KPI’s and other measurements to provide feedback to the team. Actively supports QATS, 5-S and BPES processes, procedures and systems. (10% Retention and Survey results) Internal Customer Support Actively works to support manufacturing, service and remount to assure parts and other materials are present to meet production/service schedules. (10% KPI performance) Vender Quality Works with vendors to assure that all purchased products/materials meet specification at defined quality/performance levels. Maintains an effective vendor performance management system. (10% TBD) Standardized Work Actively support quality driven initiatives to define, implement and maintain standardized work for all positions within Braun supply chain including planning, purchasing and distribution. Establishes practices and procedures to be followed by buyers and other department personnel. (10% Percentage of Standard Work Instructions) Department Management Develops and administers department budget. Actively works to identify and implement material cost reduction projects. Recommends purchases of materials based on anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situations. (10% Budget Performance) Workforce Management Provides management and supervision of all BSC employees. Conducts introductory and annual performance reviews for department employees and recommends increase, retraining, transfers and/or termination. (10% Evaluations completed on time) Vendor Management Selects and assesses vendor capabilities, develops alternate sources, and evaluates vendor performance, negotiates price and delivery. Assures vendor compliance with contracts or other related performance documents. Plans and conducts vendor partnership meetings. (10% TBD) Contract Management Assures that purchasing contracts/documents are properly completed and the terms and conditions of purchases are appropriate. (10% TBD) Shared Services Continually reviews strategic and tactical plans to ensure maximization of market opportunities and optimize profitability. Serves as a member of the DBCM strategic procurement team. (10% TBD) Inventory Management Coordinates inventory reviews and inventory levels. Develops and manages EOQ’s. Manages inventory in accordance with budget objectives. Assures inventory accuracy through effective cycle count process. (10% Budget) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field Five years of prior purchasing/management experience APICS or Supply Chain Management certification preferred Computer knowledge of spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and word documents Required Skills Strong oral and written communication/negotiations skills Advanced understanding of supply chain planning processes, logist
