Duration: (Contract / potentially Contract-to-Hire) Location: Petersburg, VA (On-Site) with occasional travel to Ohio as needed Salary: $50–$60/hour (based on experience) About The Role We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead planning, purchasing, inventory, and supplier management functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient operations, cost control, and on-time delivery to meet customer demand. This is a contract role with strong potential to convert to full-time. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage planning team (scheduling, demand planning, forecasting, inventory control) Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs, improve lead times, and increase efficiency Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate pricing and contracts Monitor raw material costs and support pricing strategy adjustments Maintain accurate system data for pricing, purchasing, and planning decisions Partner with leadership to communicate challenges and implement solutions Recruit, train, and mentor planning, purchasing, and customer service staff Support multi-site operations and ensure alignment with business goals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred) 5–10+ years of supply chain or operations experience in a manufacturing environment Proven leadership experience managing teams Strong background in forecasting, inventory control, and supplier management Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with ERP systems (QuickBooks preferred) and strong computer skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Manufacturing industry background Experience supporting multiple locations Exposure to AR/AP processes Key Competencies Leadership & Team Development Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving Communication & Stakeholder Management Results-Driven Mindset Attention to Detail & Organization Work Environment & Physical Requirements On-site office and manufacturing setting Occasional travel (~25%) to Ohio Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed Why Apply?
