Job Description
The Supply Chain Operations Specialist oversees the flow of orders, materials, and finished goods from procurement through delivery.This role coordinates production priorities, customer order processing, shipping documentation, inventory management, supplier relationships, and logistics operations to ensure efficient workflows and high customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities Order Management & Customer Coordination Update the OOR for production meetings and maintain updates throughout the day Review new customer orders and determine terms Obtain customer signatures and payments when required Process customer payments and deposit checks Provide complete purchase orders (POs) for Customer Service entry Send order acknowledgements to customers Review customer accounts and determine appropriate carriers Enter bills of lading and packing lists Provide complete documentation to Shipping File completed invoices and manage annual AR file setup and cleanup Send monthly statements to larger customers Enter RMAs and file freight claims as needed Production, Shipping & Logistics Coordination Review daily production results and upcoming needs Communicate shipping priorities and sample follow-ups to Shipping and Plant Manager Oversee relationships with freight carriers to ensure reliable service and competitive rates Book freight and coordinate transportation for inbound and outbound shipments Collaborate with logistics teams to support on-time delivery of products Procurement & Inventory Management Procure goods and services in alignment with company needs and budgetary constraints Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess stock Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures Qualifications Strong organizational and multitasking skills Experience in shipping, receiving, and logistics operations Knowledge of freight booking, carrier management, and shipping documentation Experience with procurement processes and supplier negotiation Ability to communicate effectively across departments Attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills Pay:$50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Referral program Work Location:In person.
