Surgery Scheduler

This is a position for a surgery scheduler for a busy ophthalmology practice.Previous experience is required.The Surgery Scheduler schedules all surgical procedures and assures that all of the appropriate clinical and insurance coding information is collected for the surgery schedule.Scheduler receives requests to schedule procedures and schedules the procedure according to established guidelines.Scheduler provides accurate information so that all departments may view daily, and maintains open communication with hospital departments and our office regarding schedule changes.Responsibilities include coordinating surgical procedures with multiple hospitals and surgery centers, scheduling and obtaining prior authorization, writing and communicating surgery orders, and collecting necessary documentation for surgeries.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Work Location:In person.
