Job Description
Merrimack Health is currently offering a sign-on bonus for Surgical Technologist roles, with the amount depending on scheduled hours. Part-time positions are eligible for a $16,000 bonus. At Merrimack Health , we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $32.57- $48.40, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth. Position Summary: The Surgical Technician is a member of the surgical team in the operating room who acts as the primary scrub person who handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary, prior to and during the surgical procedure. It provides technical assistance during procedures in the operating and pain rooms. Provides patient care within the prevailing national and state standards of practice and the policies of the facility. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager, which include, but are not limited to, providing patient care in other areas. Qualifications: The Surgical Tech will have an understanding of the procedures being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Surgical technologists are required to complete an accredited educational program for surgical technologists and hold and maintain a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgic
