Position: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – OR Location: New York, NY 10065 Job Type: Contract Contract: 13 weeks with strong possibility of extension Schedule: Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM | 3x11.5-hour shifts Guaranteed hours per week: 34.50 Pay: Competitive (Up to $50/hour) Job Summary Pride Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a contract opportunity in New York, NY. The CST will support surgical teams in the operating room by ensuring proper preparation, sterile techniques, and efficient assistance during procedures. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, sterile equipment, and supplies Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile field Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical tools Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure smooth workflow Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards Assist with patient positioning and preparation Monitor and restock surgical supplies as needed Collaborate with perioperative team members for optimal patient care Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) required BLS Certification required Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience Knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and patient care Strong understanding of sterile techniques and OR protocols Preferred Qualifications Experience in obstetrics or labor & delivery Prior experience in high-volume surgical settings Strong teamwork and communication skills Why Work with Pride Health?
