Surplus Lines Operations Manager 100% remote | full-time Sertis is a managing general agent built specifically for professionally managed multifamily property portfolios. We write Package, Monoline GL, and Monoline Property in 35+ states, backed by Accelerant (A- AM Best, non-admitted). Our proprietary risk platform brings better data and more predictable pricing to a category that's been turbulent lately. We're hiring a Surplus Lines Operations Manager to run compliance and day-to-day ops for our E&S business. The right person knows this world well enough to keep our filings clean, our brokers supported, and our internal workflow moving without friction. This role sits inside Property & Casualty and reports to the Head of Operations. Fully remote. What you'll actually do Run our surplus lines tax filings, affidavits, and state reporting. We use InsCipher, and you'll own that vendor relationship, including product updates and maintenance. Keep us compliant across every state we write in. Monitor regulatory changes and flag anything we need to act on. Maintain documentation and records that hold up under audit without anyone scrambling. Support due diligence on non-admitted carrier eligibility. Work alongside underwriting through the full policy lifecycle: finding gaps, cleaning up data, tightening the workflow. Handle premium processing, invoicing, and late payment follow-up. Be the go-to for brokers on compliance questions, billing, diligent search affidavits, banking changes, all of it. Partner with sales and marketing to streamline broker onboarding using the tools we already have. Track compliance and operational metrics, prepare reporting for leadership, and keep data integrity tight across systems. What we're looking for 5+ years in insurance operations, compliance, or surplus lines, ideally with hands-on experience managing E&S filings across multiple states. Solid grounding in Property & Casualty, with real working knowledge of surplus lines taxes, filings, and state-by-state requirements. Familiarity with InsCipher (or comparable tax filing platforms) is a strong plus. Comfortable in Excel and policy administration systems. The kind of detail orientation that makes audits boring instead of stressful. A track record of spotting inefficiencies and actually fixing them, not just flagging them. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. Worth knowing We're fully remote and operate on an unlimited PTO policy that works the way it's supposed to: take what you need, hit your filing deadlines, don't leave teammates covering for chaos. This role has real ownership. We're small enough that you won't be one of fifteen people watching a single slice of the work. Competitive salary | Benefits | PTO
