Overview Doraku Sushi is seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Doraku offers a vibrant Japanese dining experience that blends traditional cuisine with creative sushi and high-quality ingredients. The Sushi Chef will prepare sushi and Japanese dishes with precision, consistency, and attention to presentation while supporting a fast-paced kitchen focused on quality and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty rolls with consistent quality and presentation Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards Ensure freshness and quality of fish, rice, and other sushi ingredients Keep the sushi station clean, organized, and properly stocked Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to maintain smooth service during busy shifts Assist with monitoring and storing seafood and sushi ingredients Qualifications Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook in a restaurant setting Strong knife skills and sushi preparation techniques Knowledge of seafood handling and food safety standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $16.00 per hour Benefits Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
