Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi dishes with skill, consistency, and artistic flair, ensuring each plate meets our high standards of presentation and flavor. Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations. Select fresh ingredients and handle raw fish with proper techniques to ensure freshness and safety. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders efficiently during busy service hours. Educate guests about different types of sushi and ingredients when appropriate, enhancing their dining experience. Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of stock needs. Uphold food safety standards by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures at all times. Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a fast-paced culinary environment. Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi preparation techniques, and ingredient sourcing. Experience working with fresh seafood and understanding proper handling procedures. Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols, sanitation standards, and food allergy considerations. Background in culinary arts or related training is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
