Sushi X is looking for an experienced sushi chef to join our crew! This is a great opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced sushi restaurant in downtown Chicago! Responsibilities include Effectively works the assigned station on the sushi line. Must adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs. Responsible for preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established specifications on quality, portion size, presentation and food safety. Must be compliant with all healthy and sanitation codes. Effectively slices and prepare all orders made. Responsible for keeping Sushi stations in pristine condition at all times. Must be able to do proper cutting, slicing and filleting different types of fish. Responsible for monitoring quality of products and services in the absence of the Sushi Chef. Effectively maintains and delivers a consistent artistic presentation not deviating from our policies and specs. Must possess outstanding guest service skills. Must be able to work different days, including nights, weekends and holidays. Minimum Qualifications include: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum two year experience in sushi restaurant. Possess food hygiene and safety certification preferable serve safe certified or can acquire certification. Effectively communicate clearly and professionally while listening to others. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a friendly composure. Must have sound knowledge of food safety regulations specifically fish and shellfish and pH measures.'
