Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will craft authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes, ensuring each plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi including nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, and specialty items with precision and artistry Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation in all work areas Select fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to preserve quality and freshness Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders efficiently during busy service periods Develop new sushi recipes and presentation styles to keep menu offerings innovative and exciting Manage inventory levels of seafood, rice, seaweed, and other ingredients to minimize waste Educate team members on sushi techniques and uphold consistent quality standards Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling Culinary experience with an emphasis on seafood safety and sanitation practices Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment with high-volume service Familiarity with curriculum development or training others in culinary skills is a plus Background in working with diverse teams and managing multiple tasks efficiently Passion for continuous learning about sushi trends, culinary innovation, and presentation artistry Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
