Job SummaryJoin our vibrant culinary team as a Sushi Helper, where your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to creating exceptional sushi experiences for our guests.In this lively role, you'll assist with food preparation, ingredient handling, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure every sushi dish is crafted with care and precision, supporting the overall success of our restaurant.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Responsibilities Assist with preparing ingredients such as fish, rice, vegetables, and garnishes for sushi dishes Support the sushi chefs in assembling and plating sushi items efficiently and accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, including proper food handling and storage Follow food safety protocols to ensure all ingredients are handled hygienically and stored correctly Help with basic food preparation tasks like slicing fish with knife skills and portioning ingredients Ensure all tools and equipment are sanitized and maintained according to health standards Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting kitchen staff during busy service periods Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or food service environments is highly advantageous Experience working in restaurants or kitchens demonstrates strong food handling skills Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering practices is a plus Understanding of food safety standards and proper knife skills are beneficial Prior involvement in the food industry or culinary settings will support your success in this role No formal experience is necessary; enthusiasm for learning and teamwork are key qualities we value highly Pay:From $15.00 per hour Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Work Location:In person.
