Overview Surfs Up Swim Programs is looking for fun, reliable, and enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our growing team in Los Angeles. We specialize in private and semi-private lessons with a focus on water safety, personalized instruction, and building confidence in the water — often in under 10 lessons. If you love working with kids, have a strong swim background, and want to make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Teach private and semi-private swim lessons to children ages 1–15, adjusting instruction to meet individual skill levels and goals Ensure every lesson is safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate Educate students on core water safety concepts aligned with Red Cross standards Build positive, encouraging relationships with students and their families Provide clear, constructive feedback on student progress Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment Collaborate with fellow instructors and participate in occasional staff workshops or training events What We're Looking For At least 2 years of experience in swim instruction, coaching, or working with children (required) Red Cross Lifeguard and/or CPR Certification is a strong bonus — but not required to apply Confident swimmer able to demonstrate basic strokes and water rescue techniques Reliable, punctual, and professional with strong communication skills Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic — someone who brings great energy to the pool deck Why Work With Us?
