Description We are looking for a professional and articulate Switchboard Operator to serve as the primary point of contact for our incoming communications. In this role, you aren’t just transferring calls; you are managing the first impression of our organization. You will handle a high volume of calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate departments, and provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Call Management: Operate a multi-line telephone system to answer, screen, and forward calls politely and efficiently. Information Distribution: Take accurate messages and deliver them promptly via email or internal messaging systems. Administrative Support: Assist with clerical tasks such as mail sorting, filing, or basic scheduling during low-call volume periods. Requirements Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a receptionist, call center, or switchboard role. Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills and a professional, friendly phone demeanor. Tech Savvy: Proficiency with multi-line phone systems (PBX/VoIP) and basic MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Multitasking: Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure or during high-call volume hours. Reliability: Strong record of punctuality and dependable attendance.
