Switchboard Operator

Position Summary:Quickly respond to all emergency systems according to policy and procedure.Operate SPOK, facitities and security monitoring systems, and Console to relay incoming and outgoing calls.Operate overhead paging system along with other communication related equipment and information technology systems.Provide overhead announcements during emergencies.Position Requirements:High school graduate /G.E.D.diploma required.Previous communications/telecommunications experience preferred.Typing experience and P.C.familiarity required.Pleasant and effective verbal communication skills necessary.Ability to work at a fast pace under pressure with frequent interruptions.Our benefits package includes:Free membership to our on-campus fitness center A 401k plan with employee match RUSH salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data.The pay range for each role reflects RUSH's anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.Benefits can be found here Location:Rush Copley Medical Center Patient Support Services Schedule:Non-Benefited Part-Time, Second shift, mix of 4pm-8pm and 8pm-4:30am.
