Job Summary and Responsibilities The System Manager - Contracting ('Contact Manager') is responsible for contract management to include reviewing, analyzing, drafting and managing contracts in accordance with company policy and stakeholder specifications. The Contract Manager identifies and utilizes comparative data including market information and industry standards to make cost/benefit determinations in evaluating proposed contract terms relative to business needs. This position requires negotiation skills, independent judgment and ability to identify and resolve business issues. The Contract Manager will lead RFI/RFPs, negotiations, and contracting for a particular spend category. The Contract Manager will partner with the CSH Legal Team to address proposed contract terms that deviate from CSH standard, to develop new policies, or contract templates, and improve contracting processes. Collaborate with the category team or other key stakeholders to develop contracting strategies. Develop and lead the category RFI/RFP processes: prepares complex solicitations and reviews specialize and/or non-routine proposals, bids, and contract modifications. Leads negotiation efforts. Manages internal communications across category team and work with the key stakeholders (eg. Legal, Finance, Operations, etc) collaboratively. Have an understanding of the business case and financial/analytical issues. Works closely with the Data Analytics team for data needs and data collection efforts. Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements and special provisions while working with legal to ensure terms and conditions are compliant with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies and business unit procedures.
