Candidates MUST BE either U.S. citizen or Green Card holder Our client is looking for a Systems Administrator to support and secure a large-scale Windows server environment across on-premises and hybrid infrastructure platforms. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level experience with VMware, Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and server patching/vulnerability management. This role will focus heavily on operational stability, server lifecycle management, security remediation, patch governance, and enterprise infrastructure support. Experience with HPE Synergy is considered a strong plus but is not required. The successful candidate should be comfortable operating in enterprise environments with formal change management, security standards, and high availability requirements. Key Responsibilities · Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise Windows Server environments across physical and virtual infrastructure · Manage and maintain VMware virtualized infrastructure, including provisioning, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and lifecycle operations · Administer Windows Server operating systems (2019–2025), including: o Active Directory o Group Policy o DNS o DHCP o File and print services · Support and maintain HPE Synergy composable infrastructure and HPE OneView management tools (nice to have) · Plan, coordinate, and execute enterprise server patching cycles across production environments · Perform vulnerability remediation activities, including: o Reviewing vulnerability scanner findings o Coordinating remediation efforts o Tracking compliance and closure · Utilize enterprise patching and vulnerability management platforms such as Ivanti or comparable tools · Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to align patching and remediation activities with operational requirements · Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation processes to improve operational efficiency · Monitor server performance, availability, capacity, and operational health · Support backup, recovery, and business continuity processes for server infrastructure · Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and audit-related records · Participate in on-call support rotation and provide Tier 2/Tier 3 infrastructure support Required Skills & Experience: · Expert-level experience administering Windows Server environments (2019–2025) · Expert knowledge of: o Active Directory o Group Policy o Windows server hardening o Enterprise infrastructure operations · Expert-level VMware administration experience · Strong hands-on experience with enterprise server patching and vulnerability management · Experience using patch management platforms such as: o Ivanti o SCCM/MECM o WSUS o Comparable enterprise tools · Proven experience coordinating and executing patching cycles in production environments · Strong understanding of vulnerability remediation workflows and security best practices · PowerShell scripting experience for automation and operational support · Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills · Ability to work effectively across infrastructure, security, and application support teams Preferred Qualifications · Experience with HPE Synergy and HPE OneView · Experience working within hybrid cloud environments · Familiarity with enterprise change management and ITIL processes · Exposure to vulnerability scanning and compliance reporting tools · Relevant certifications such as: o VMware VCP o Microsoft Certifications o Security+ o Other infrastructure/security certifications Technical Environment · VMware vSphere / ESXi · Windows Server 2019–2025 · Active Directory & Group Policy · HPE Synergy & HPE OneView · Ivanti Patch & Vulnerability Management · SCCM / MECM / WSUS · PowerShell · Hybrid Infrastructure Environments
