Job Description
AutoZone is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our expanding eCommerce B2B team. These efforts specifically support our commercial customer platforms, including the AutoZonePro.com website and our Mobile Apps. The position requires a strong focus on software development, production operations, capacity planning, and performance management. The ability to solve complex problems, provide effective technical solutions, and collaborate well with other IT teams and business partners will be the key qualities. Design, create, test, deploy, and support software applications. Use software development life cycle to produce high quality software Use Java, Spring boot to develop the software Use Git to manage source code versioning Use Postman/ JUnit to test Use Gitlab CI/CD to deploy code Use Dynatrace to create alerts and dashboards to support the application. Experience with Google Cloud Platform is required for deploying and managing cloud-based solutions. Quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems in development and production environments Have a good understanding of how functionality works Use Dynatrace/ SiteScope/Grafana Developers Tools to troubleshoot issues Keep the SOPs UpToDate on the learnings and issues resolved to help build the knowledge base. Analyze API request and response Coordinate with product owners and business partners to address the Business problems and document them as needed. Identify and Implement code/configuration changes to improve performance and reliability as necessary Participate in high-level design sessions and support on low-level designs. Learn current Architecture of eco-system Meet with Architects and collaborate with feedback on high level design for new features and functionalities. Ensure the apps designed Support scaling, automation and self-healing processes for sites and systems Work a team of engineers to deliver new capabilities and optimize the monitoring. Divide work into smaller subsets Use delegation effectively to distribute work among other developers and peers. Able to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision with solid problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills. Coach and mentor junior developers as needed Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure we have their support to accomplish our goals. Identify the support needed from other IT partners, to deliver the feature early in the process Convey the support needed to other IT partners, with a timeline Follow up regularly on the progress of support requests Accurate work planning and execution; accurate project and time tracking Identify all the work needed to deliver a feature Identify support needed from other IT teams Estimate how much time it would take to deliver complete feature Plan the work and execute using Agile Methodology Track the time spent on this feature accurately in Clarity Bachelor’s degree or MS in Computer Science, MIS, or a closely related field or the equivalent Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer or similar with a strong software development background in Java, Spring boot, RDBMS is a must Experience in designing/developing/supporting high volume 24/7 customer facing applications is a must Experience in Apache / Nginx, CDN (ex. Akamai / Cloudflare), NodeJS is highly preferred Experience with APIGEE and Google cloud Platform is a plus Having a Google Certification is preferred. Previous experience in a team lead / formal mentorship role over an Engineering team Ability to quickly troubleshoot critical production issues spanning applications / infrastructure and tune high volume online applications Knowledge of source code management systems like GIT is must.
