Position Details Position Information Recruitment/Posting Title Systems Support Specialist Job Category URA-AFT Administrative Department Planning Development & Design Overview The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Systems Support Specialist for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) . Under the direction of the Manager, Space Management, this position is responsible for technical and specialized data management tasks associated with archiving, digitizing, and coding all University computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, bid documents, and as-built drawings in record management software. This position will also provide support to expand the use of Archibus space management software. Among the key duties of this position are the following: The Office of Space Management within IP&O's Department of Planning, Development, and Design is responsible for documentation and management of all data associated with over 30 million gross square feet of owned and leased space on and off Rutgers University campuses, and the Office ensures that university space allocations are documented to accurately reflect uses associated with the University's academic, research, and clinical missions.
