POSITION SUMMARY Drivers will be responsible for operating a commercial motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, performing pre/post-trip inspections with appropriate documentation, complying with all DOT compliance regulations and Hours of Service rules and loading and unloading of equipment and materials. Duties Include Drive Distributor / Tack Truck in front of paving operation to spray tack and prepare the surface for paving. Work behind the paver with a shovel or asphalt rake as needed, in between operating the truck. Other duties, as assigned by lead or foreman. This position is seasonal, averaging up to 14 hours per day (weather permitting). Overtime and working Saturdays is required. Travel may be required, depending on workload or unique circumstances. Qualified overnight stay will be compensated with per diem.
