Job Description
The Opportunity The Talent Acquisition Specialist works with a team to ensure the Company’s need for talents is promptly and appropriately met. Responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures and hosting or participating in career events, and creating strong talent pipelines for the Company’s current and future hiring needs. You Will Plan, coordinate, and host career talks, in house or in collaboration with external parties, such as employment centers, vocational institutions, etc. Provide support to HR Advisors in the acquisition of quality talents for stores and other business units of the Company; organize job fairs and participate in interviews when required Discuss with hiring managers and formulate/monitor Company’s hiring needs; research, plan, and implement sourcing strategies; work with internal and external parties for recruitment advertising & promotion to attract qualified candidates Devise and implement employer branding initiatives for long-term success Provide support and engage in full-cycle recruitment, from discussing manpower needs and collecting staff requisitions, through recruitment strategies formulation, creating and posting job ads, review, screening, and interviewing applicants, referring suitable applicants for interviews and follow up, background and reference check, to making offers, preparing employment contracts and related documentations, and conducting onboarding/orientation sessions Answer job enquiries received from various channels courteously and promptly Collect and maintain all recruitment and related documentations Perform any other duties and participate in other talent acquisition or human resources related projects as and when assigned You Should Have / Be Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or an HR generalist role, preferably in a fast-paced retail or grocery environment. Hands-on experience with social media recruitment, digital advertising, and employer promotion across multiple platforms and channels. Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and California employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, anti-discrimination laws, and human rights / equal employment opportunity requirements; knowledge of employment legislation in other jurisdictions is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates patience, professionalism, and active listening when responding to job-related inquiries and advising stakeholders. Knowledge of U.S. work authorization processes (e.g., employment eligibility verification, visa sponsorship considerations) is a strong asset. Strong interest in building a career in Human Resources; proactive, well-organized, able to multitask, follow up independently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and all levels of the organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English & Chinese or Spanish is preferred. Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, or reach to examine equipment, workstations, or storage areas. Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds (e.g., safety equipment, training materials, or inspection tools). Ability to work periodically in environments with varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer areas. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment for extended periods when preparing reports, safety documentation, and training materials.
