POSITION DESCRIPTION NexGen Manufcturing Job Title : Utility Machinist -Tap Arm 2nd Shift Department : Machine Shop Status : Part-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Supervisor: Machinist Team Lead Manages Others: No SUMMARY This Utility Machinist role includes completing work using the tap arm, mag drill, and other tools. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready to work efficiently at all times. Visually inspect parts for quality. Able to remember and perform clean up parts as required. Issue parts and time to work orders through time clock system. Perform initial visual inspections as needed. Accurately sort, match, label, tag part correctly. Use of the tar arm, mag drill, and other tools. Other miscellaneous tasks. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE: High School Diploma or GED Vocational School or Trade School Related Experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of types and uses or drills and taps. Knowledge of how to use and maintenance powered tools. Able to work with others to complete tasks. Sight for inspection of parts for completion. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Lift, carry, push, and or pull 1- 50 lbs. frequently. Regularly able to stand and walk for extended period of time. Work in a fast-paced industrial environment while wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing. WORK ENVIRONMENT Normal work hours with occasional optional as well as mandatory overtime necessary to meet deadlines Normal office and manufacturing plant environment which may include exposure to dust, industrial solvents, liquids and other materials.
