The Tax Intern role will report directly to The Tax Manager with the Tax & Treasury department. This part-time position requires at least 24 hours/week and would last for 6 months with the potential to extend to 12 months or beyond. We would like to have someone start on June 2, 2026. The intern for this opportunity is expected to have an interest in learning about multi-state and local taxation compliance, planning, reporting and analysis. They will need to have a sense of ownership in projects, and capabilities to perform administrative tasks within a multi-entity corporate environment. They will be responsible for assisting with the following duties to support the tax compliance across the organization: Prepare/file simple sales, use and gross receipts tax returns before due dates Pull various transactions reports for use tax analysis Assist with maintenance of the state and local tax calendar Scan, organize, review, and manage tax notices, draft responses for review, send correspondence to multi-state jurisdictions Prepare property tax return forms using fixed asset reports and summary schedules Prepare business license renewal applications, send correspondence to other teams Register for new tax accounts, and manage online accounts for various tax jurisdictions Prepare and update resale and other tax certificates Submit and record state and local tax payments with supporting documentation Senior in undergraduate accounting program Graduate school student wit
