Tax Specialist

A company is looking for a Tax Specialist I to perform daily accounting duties related to payroll taxes and tax reporting. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly bookkeeping and reconcile general ledger accounts with external sources Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll tax laws and regulations Accurately file all tax deposits and reports, including IRS forms and state income tax reports Required Qualifications 4-year college degree preferred in a business-related discipline, accounting majors preferred 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or processing Working knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, and accounting software Experience with Microsoft Excel and general computer skills Ability to analyze data and apply critical thinking skills
