Tax Staff/Senior

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Staff/Senior to join their Merrick, NY office. Responsibilities Compile and review complex federal, multi-state, and local tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, Trusts, Estates) Advise on tax planning and strategy, identifying savings opportunities and supporting transaction structuring for clients Manage client relationships by serving as the primary contact, gathering financial data, and resolving issues Conduct tax research to address complex client situations and stay current on evolving tax laws Prepare responses to IRS and state notices and inquiries from tax authorities Utilize professional tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSeries) and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) to support engagements Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 2-5+ years of tax experience in public accounting Strong understanding of corporate, partnership, and individual taxation Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills CPA preferred Job ID # 47756 Tagged as: In-Office
