Environmental Investigator II Are you an experienced Environmental Investigator, ready for a unique opportunity to grow with an environmental state agency? Join TCEQ! As part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you would help ensure that those we regulate comply with the state's environmental laws. This position is a member of our Beaumont Regional Office. Here's what you'll be doing: Conducts technical inspections, surveys, and follow-up investigations; prepares reports which documents field activities and observed conditions. Conducts environmental monitoring; and prepares technical papers regarding studies involving environmental subjects Provides technical assistance and information to the public, regulated community, and other interested groups regarding the application of appropriate regulations. Assists with collecting and analyzing environmental samples Qualifications: Required Education & Experience: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field generally preferred, but not required. OR Four years of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities directly related to the examples of work performed. Transcript/College Hours or Course Work: A copy of your official college transcript or evaluation of foreign credentials in CAPPS is required if needed to meet the qualifications listed above. Work Schedule: Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Beaumont Region Office.
