Licensed Practical Nurse Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! This position offers support to our nurses. In addition to the usual LPN roles of giving medicine, observing patients and helping with diagnostic tests. They may teach patients and their families about the disease and its treatment. Because of their specialized knowledge on the care of cancer patients, oncology LPN's often serve as resources to other staff members. Oncology LPN's at out-patient facilities may work nights, weekends and holidays if needed. LPN work can be physically taxing, and you risk injury from lifting patients and moving equipment. Duties and responsibilities include Bedside nursing EKG's Preparation and administration of oral and all injectable medication (IVP may be administered from approved list) Give subcutaneous and intramuscular injections IV infusions such as; Hydration, Iron infusions, Antibiotics, Antinausea medication Accessing ports Port flushes, Lab draws Drawing labs from PICC lines and Central lines Line care (dressing, changing and flushing of PICC & Central lines) Knowledge of commonly used drugs and their action Observat
