Position Summary Sunshine Corner Daycare and Preschool is seeking caring, dependable, and energetic Teacher Assistants to support our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children of various ages, works well as part of a team, and is committed to creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for all children in our care. Teacher Assistants work closely with Lead Teachers and administration to help maintain classroom routines, support children’s development, and ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and center policies. QualificationsEducation Requirements Must possess a High School Diploma or GED Must be 18 years of age or older Additional Requirements Previous childcare experience preferred but not required Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families Must pass all required background checks and screenings CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day Essential Duties & Responsibilities Child Care & Supervision Assist in providing attentive and nurturing care to children ages infancy through preschool Maintain constant supervision to ensure children’s safety and well-being Follow all state licensing regulations, center policies, and health/safety procedures Assist with meals, diapering, potty training, naps, and classroom transitions Classroom Support Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines Help prepare and clean classroom materials and learning centers Assist with implementing age-appropriate activities and play experiences Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment Child Development Encourage positive social interactions and emotional development Support children’s learning through play, communication, and engagement Use positive guidance and redirection techniques when needed Family & Team Communication Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers Work cooperatively with administration and teaching staff Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities Compensation Pay Range: $11.25 – $14.25 per hour Compensation is dependent upon education and experience.
