About the Employer The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county's 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County. Job Summary The job of Teacher, Autism is done for the purpose(s) of developing special education students' success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing students' specific needs; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. Requirements / Qualifications Credential Copy (Valid California Moderate/Severe Education Specialist or equivalent Special Education teaching credential authorizing instruction in a moderate/severe disabled program or Mild/Moderate Education Specialist with added Authorization in Autism Spectrum Disorder (Intern eligibility will be considered) Letter of Introduction (Letter must be specific to the position for which you are applying) Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author.
