What You’ll Do As a Teacher in BHN’s KidStop Program, you will provide nurturing, educational, and engaging experiences for young children while supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development in a structured, collaborative environment. You Will Create and maintain a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment. Conduct daily learning activities using EEC-approved curriculum and age-appropriate strategies. Supervise and guide children through play, meals, rest time, and group activities. Communicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding children’s progress and needs. Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization per licensing and accreditation standards. Support children with varying developmental needs through compassionate care and individualized attention. Conduct activities following the daily schedule and developmental milestones for each age group. Supervise meals, rest, and playtime to ensure safety and engagement. Complete required reports including incident documentation and mandated reporting as necessary. Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of each child, ensuring inclusion and accessibility. Participate in professional development and maintain all required EEC certifications. Support colleagues and substitute as needed in other classrooms. Who You Are High School Diploma or GED (required). Meets EEC qualifications for a Teacher’s Aide or Assistant Group Leader. Current or ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Food Health Safety certifications within 3 months. Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Flexible with work hours and assignments as needed by the Center Director. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
