Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A specialized teaching opportunity is available in Green Bay, WI, focused on supporting elementary students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.This contract role requires a dedication to enhancing communication and academic skills through American Sign Language and tailored instructional methods.Key qualifications include:Completion of at least two years of post-secondary education equivalent to 48 semester hours from an accredited institution, OR an associate degree or higher.Alternatively, demonstration of knowledge and instructional ability in reading, writing, and mathematics through a formal state or local academic assessment.Possession of a valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Educational Interpreter License.Experience working effectively with elementary-aged students in diverse classroom settings.Position details:Location:Green Bay, Wisconsin Contract duration:Immediate start through 5/29/2026 Schedule:37.5 hours per week, onsite Caseload:Elementary students requiring Deaf / Hard of Hearing educational support, working with various students throughout the day.Responsibilities:Provide specialized instruction and support in American Sign Language to facilitate communication and learning.Collaborate with educators and staff to create an inclusive learning environment tailored to students' needs.Assist in developing literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to each student's readiness level.Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting methods as needed for optimal outcomes.This role offers an impactful opportunity to contribute to the academic success and communication skills of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within an engaging educational setting.Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply promptly to seize this rewarding position focused on making a difference in students lives.#cjp.
