Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This position supports elementary students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing by providing specialized instruction and interpretation services in American Sign Language.It is a full-time, onsite, contract opportunity based in De Pere, WI, running through May 29, 2026.Key Responsibilities:Provide educational interpreting and support services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance student learning and communication.Assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics readiness tailored to individual student needs.Manage a caseload of elementary students, adapting instruction throughout the day to meet varying needs.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of two years of post-secondary education totaling at least 48 semester hours from an accredited institution, OR An associate degree or higher, OR Demonstrated knowledge and instructional ability via a formal state or local academic assessment.Possession of a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Educational Interpreter License.Experience working in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education and proficiency in American Sign Language.Location:De Pere, Wisconsin (onsite role) This role offers the chance to impact young learners through direct educational support and interpretation in a school environment.Candidates with a dedication to this specialized field and the proper credentials are encouraged to apply.To express interest in this position, please prepare your resume and credential documentation for submission.#cjp.
